Intention: Monday F.U.N.day! The purpose is to start the week on an uplifting note with cool people who value *Cloud 9* collaboration over competition.

There is room for all of us, space to uplift each other’s voices, share our unique gifts, and discover more lived experiences so everyone feels heard & seen.

By taking aligned action, we have F.U.N. while we get things done and cheer each other on!
We focus on F.U.N., flow, & FREEdom!
We ask ourselves if the environment is enjoyable, effective, & equitable
We value reciprocity - give what you can and take what you need
No one knows everything - together we know a lot!

This is a living and breathing document, feel free to add what we might have missed.

Safety first! You create your own safety within this courageous space (more details below under “Specific Safety”)

There is no room for perfection. Come and go as you please and as you are (no need to look polished, messy buns welcome!)

Take Space/Make Space - if you are usually quiet challenge yourself to take more space, and if you usually talk a lot be mindful to leave room for quieter voices

Eye contact helps create a secure environment; we want to see your beautiful face as much as possible

We don’t discriminate. Oppression-free environment. periodt.

Be curious, open, and respectful - call in & out as needed with a focus on throwing sunshine, not shade or shame

We can't be articulate all the time - give the benefit of the doubt and ask *curious* questions

We take care of ourselves - mind, body, spirit, & soul. Take bio breaks to stretch, eat, drink, use restroom, rest, etc.

Co-Lab is a place to experiment - if you need to test a link, drop it in the community and cheer each other on!

Everyone loves an invite - if you have a program or event, please share.

We are a community with different lived experiences.
- We will have disappointments and conflict.
- We agree to discuss the friction. Sometimes in real time in the group, sometimes privately.
- Reminder: conflict is often a misalignment of expectations. Lean in.

Feel free to get real and raw! We want you to leave feeling heard and seen:
- If you want to practice using your voice through video, audio, or using visual effects like emoji’s, memes…go for it! We want to know your personality. Be as silly as you want; we all need laughter each day!

Specific safety:

We all agree to keep the virtual space free from harm/danger by doing the following:
- Avoid driving during this sacred time so you can relax and enjoy. (Please send a note if you can’t make it so we know you’re okay)
- Finding a private space to share/receive (as much as possible, we know how life gets - we welcome baby waveys )
- Vegas rules - don’t speak for others without their consent
- Please don’t share someone’s story on their behalf unless you have explicit permission - social media is the exception because it’s typically public

Tears happen. There is a time and place for tears.
- This is the *safe* place; take your time.
- Our facilitators are not therapists; we are trauma-informed and we are always learning.
- If the tears are causing harm to a member however, we will ask you to step away or go into a private “Zoom room” to journal, collect thoughts, etc.

The “F” bomb might get dropped - if you can’t deal, get out of the way. Seriously though, this might not be the right space for you if it’s that big of an issue. That’s up to you.

One mic - one voice at a time

Avoid Jargon, Acronyms, and Industry language - use inclusive language that is accessible for people with varying inside knowledge

Be aware of time - enough let’s move on (ELMO) means if what you wanted to say has already been said, don’t say it

Speak from your own experience - Use I statements rather than generalizations

Be conscious of intent vs. impact - no matter intention you’re responsible for your impact

Avoid using isms without explaining what you mean by them

Community Assumptions:

All systems of oppression exist

We are all here because we want and choose to be here

We live at intersections, we all benefit and are harmed by systematic oppression

It is not useful to argue about which system is worse

All systems are interconnected

Dismantling systems of oppression benefits everyone

Confronting social injustice is painful and joyful

Liberation is possible

Everyone has a choice in any situation

The body doesn’t lie

Opposing systems of oppression, building alternatives, and cultural change are all necessary

Together, we check in with our self-energy after solo self-awareness time by asking some of these curious questions without shame or judgment:

How is your mind feeling? Clear or cluttered?
What is your mind thinking about? Can that thought be pinned for later?
How does your body feel? Is it energized or sluggish? Tight or relaxed? How will you nourish it today?
How is your spirit? Do you feel connected to anything or anyone bigger than you? What is your heart for humanity noticing or feeling? Hopeful or hurt? Do you have the capacity to take a baby step towards collective liberation or do you need to go inward for healing*?
How are you inviting F.U.N. into your soul today? Do you need solo time or quality community time?

* We have lots of resources; don’t be afraid to ask for help - this literally is what this community is designed to do so you don’t have to feel stuck or ashamed if you don’t know the answer.

We recognize how much relationships affect our work - you can use this space to practice speaking a boundary in your family, friendships, etc.
